Kathy Zhou stops in NYC as part of her debut tour to promote her upcoming EP, "A Vivid, Magic, Scene."
Memphis-based pianist and singer-songwriter Kathy Zhou debuts in New York City with a live performance of her premier EP, “A Vivid, Magic, Scene.” This show is the second stop of Kathy’s debut tour (spanning Chicago, New York City, upstate New York, Montréal, and Toronto). Drawing upon nature and fantasy themes, processing the past, and coming to terms with the present, this show features the Memphis-based artist’s piano virtuosity, imaginative folk-like lyrics, and hauntingly whimsical voice. Audiences can expect to ride the waves of melancholy and catharsis, be moved by heartfelt storytelling, and be entertained by soulful, engaging playing. They will leave feeling mesmerized and replenished, like they just journeyed into a fantasy world, revisited their most heart wrenching emotions, and came back with renewed validation and self-love.
